The Garmin Delta XC handheld device from Garmin, with proven Tri-Tronics® technology, gives the pet owner and serious dog trainers more control with more simplicity. The handheld controller offers the ability to control up to 3 dogs (dog devices sold separately) and quickly change between them. The unit is powered by a long lasting rechargeable lithium-ion battery. It gives you 18 levels of continuous stimulation, 18 levels of momentary stimulation, plus tone and vibration, in 3 correction configurations, from up to 1/2 mile (0.8 km) away. Delta XC is ergonomically-designed to require only 1 hand to operate the 3 front “action” buttons for stimulation, tone and/or vibration. Side buttons and the LCD let the trainer or pet owner switch easily between training configurations and different dogs being trained. It weighs only 3.7 ounces (0.1 kg), and like all Garmin outdoor products, Delta XC is designed to be effective and rugged, qualifying for an IPX7 water resistance rating (withstands incidental exposure of water of up a depth of 3.2 feet (1 meter) for up to 30 minutes).
